Article 5 Law 40/2004 prohibits access to medically assisted procreation techniques for single people and same-sex couples.
This ban is unfair and discriminatory and contrary to constitutional principles.

How does FemTech join with women’s rights advocacy?

✴ 15:15
Talk – Epigenetics and gender-based violence
with Simona Gaudi
Istituto Superiore di Sanità
Violence leaves ‘scars’ on the DNA of the women who experience it, and understanding the extent to which these changes extend within the victims’ genome, and how long their effects last over time could be the key to implementing ‘precision’ prevention.
The EpiWE (Epigenetics for Women) project is the multi-center study sponsored by ISS to measure the public health impacts of gender-based violence and ensure that all women and girls can live a life free of violence and its health consequences.

✴ 15:45 – 16:45
Workshop – The art of pitch-telling
with Alice Siracusano
CEO of LUZ and head of the project “Ensemble: together to change spaces and narratives”
A good pitch can make all the difference in FemTech startups’ growth and investment raising. How to be truly effective? With LUZ’s expert guidance, we explore the characteristics of the “perfect” pitch and techniques for constructing it.
We will also learn about the project “Ensemble: together to change spaces and narratives” to communicate women’s health and rights, promoted by LUZ, an agency specializing in storytelling and projects with a strong social impact.
This time is reserved for FemTech startups and companies.

✴ 16:00
Talk – Women’s bodies between science, power and self-determination
With Nicole Miglio, Silvia Buffo and Dr. Vittoria Lombardo
A journey through three books that unmask dominant narratives about the female body, motherhood, and health. From denouncing suffering imposed on mothers as an inevitable fate, to deconstructing ultrasound as a political and symbolic tool, to a new way of communicating prevention through art and science. A talk that weaves together stories of violence, manipulation, and resistance to rethink the way we look at, live with, and narrate women’s bodies.
✴ 17:00

The final moment of the day’s storytelling and presentation of the Tech4Fem project!

Grow your FemTech business with LUZ
Project “Ensemble: together to change spaces and narratives”
ENSEMBLE was first and foremost a two-day event (in Milan) to tell the story of parenting outside the stereotypes of mainstream and gender communication. We involved experts, families of all kinds and professionals in lectures, workshops and cultural activities, through meetings and debates managed in a constructive and respectful way, while posing different and sometimes divergent points of view.
Today ENSEMBLE wants to open up further new spaces for storytelling through a publishing project aimed at advancing reflections on fundamental issues and rights related to women’s health and the rights of underrepresented people.
ENSEMBLE was born within LUZ – Lights on Humans – a communication agency and Benefit Society that investigates and disseminates the values of people and brands. In LUZ’s activities, people are always the beginning and the end point: therefore, it integrates B2C communication and marketing services with activities for internal communication of companies, to help people at all levels, starting from the3 founder, to be better in the workplace and communicate more effectively.

Come see the Victoria’s Cells exhibition.
Science and Art for Oncology Prevention.
To bring the population closer to prevention, Dr. Vittoria Lombardo combined the rational scientific working path with her artistic nature, combining science and art. Hence images of cells that evoke real elements, which come together to interest the viewer and simplify the concept.
During the event, it will be possible to view Dr. Vittoria Lombardo’s work at the House of Emerging Technologies, with a unique exhibition at the intersection of art and innovation for women’s health.
